My Top 10 Christmas Baking Picks of 2012

18 Dec

27232772718486110_4HeOywBX_cSince Christmas is a week away, I thought I’d post my top 10 baking recipes of this year.

  1. Cheesecake bars with chocolate ganache topping: By far, my absolute favourite recipe of the season.
  2. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake bars: All my favourite things in one recipe.
  3. Chocolate fudge brownies with chocolate butter cream frosting: Need I say more?
  4. Double chocolate chunk cookies: Very chocolatey and very chewy.
  5. New York Times chocolate chip cookiesThese cookies use bread and cake flour instead of all purpose flour, making them the chewiest, most fabulous cookies I’ve ever had.
  6. Peanut butter cookies: Sprinkling sugar on the tops of these cookies gave them a really great taste.
  7. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie bars: This one was very simple, but had me at the words “chocolate” and “peanut butter”.
  8. Oreo cheesecake truffles: balls….of cheesecake. Covered in chocolate…
  9. Chubby hubby truffles Basically crunchy peanut butter balls…yumm.
  10. Nanaimo bars: I haven’t actually attempted these, I just had to add them.  Christmas is not Christmas without Nanaimo bars. This will be next week’s recipe! 41025046575201646_EBBktkQF_c

Thanks for linking my Nanaimo bars! I have tried the NYT Cookies and wrote about them but I have a new fave cookie I love even more. With choc chip cookies, I always seem to have new faves. LOL :)
